A gunman fired several rounds about a block from where rappers Tekashi 6ix9ine and 50 Cent were filming a music video in Brooklyn Tuesday night (August 14), police said.
50 Cent was collaborating with controversial rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine while shots were reportedly heard outside the ‘immediate vicinity of the venue’ near the Greenpoint waterfront on Noble Street at about 9:30 p.m.
No suspect has been identified and no one was injured in the shooting. The police department are not prepared to announce whether the event was an intentional attack against the rappers.
In July, the “Gummo” rapper told police he was kidnapped at gunpoint and robbed of his jewelry after filming a music video in Brooklyn.
Three men followed the rapper as he made his way home from the shoot. Once he arrived at his house, it’s said that the attackers blocked his drive before forcing him into their vehicle.
Later he was found unconscious and hospitalised after escaping the vehicle and seeking help from a stranger.
