Jeremy Corbyn has launched the Labour Party’s manifesto, with plans for a Green Industrial Revolution and steps to end food bank Britain.
Providing a strategy to make major changes to many areas, the manifesto is titled ‘It’s Time for Real Change’. Corbyn unveiled it to a packed audience at Birmingham City University on Thursday.
The key points of the manifesto include:

> Large scale investment programme to fund the jobs and industries of the future.
> Kick-starting a Green Industrial Revolution to tackle the climate emergency by shifting to renewable energy, investing in rail and electric cars, and making housing energy- efficient, to reduce fuel poverty and excess winter deaths.
> Creating a million climate jobs in every region and nation of the UK.
> Bringing rail, mail, water and energy into public ownership.
> Delivering full-fibre broadband free to everybody in every home.
> Ending food bank Britain, and lifting children and pensioners out of poverty.

> Bringing in a Real Living Wage of at least £10 per hour for all workers – with equal rights at work from day one on the job. Ending zero-hours contracts and strengthening trade union rights.
> Creating a National Education Service and reintroducing Sure Start centres.
> Greater funding for the NHS, protecting it against any privatisation and trade negotiation, free prescriptions for all and free basic dentistry.
> Ending the social care crisis by funding free personal care for older people and extra care packages.
> Reversing a decade of cuts to police and vital public services.
> Ending the ‘bomb first, talk later’ approach and instead have a foreign policy based on peace, justice and human rights.
> Getting Brexit sorted in six months by giving people the final say – with a choice between a sensible leave deal or remain. They will implement whatever the British people decide.
