Godiva Festival's 20th Anniversary

Godiva 2016 Crowd Shot

The Godiva Festival celebrates its 20-year anniversary as one of the biggest free family music festival in the UK. It is going to be held in War Memorial Park, Coventry and will be organised by the Coventry City Council, showcasing national artists. The festival is set to deliver not just live entertainment, but also international food and drink, craft village and children’s fun fair.
The festival will run for three days from Friday 31 August to Sunday 2 September this year. Moreover, the family offer will be available for longer hours across the weekend, plus will be open on the Friday evening, enabling visitors to enjoy the activities.
Attendees will be welcome to bring dogs only on the outside of the fenced area and will not be permitted inside the fenced area at the Godiva Festival. Furthermore, people attending should bear in mind to bring only sealed clear plastic bottles due to safety restrictions.
Councillor Abdul Khan, Cabinet Member for Events at Coventry City Council, said:
“We know how loved Godiva Festival is and what a big impact it has on the city in terms of economic benefits and community engagement and city profile, especially relevant as we continue to celebrate being UK City of Culture 2021.”
This year’s festival line-up will be Jake Bugg, Ronan Keating, Gabrielle, Professor Green, Jonas Blue, Little Comets and Blood Red Shoes, along with other names to follow including the Saturday Main Stage and Friday Rock Tent performers still to be announced.
