Gianna, daughter of George Floyd, has thanked Kanye West after the rapper contributed to her college fund. Puza Snigdha reports.
The 6-year-old daughter of late George Floyd, who died at the hands of police brutality in May, has shared her gratitude towards Kanye West who has secured her future with the guarantee of a college education.
On Instagram, Gianna wrote: “Thank You Kanye, because of you I will have a college education… Mommy and I are so thankful for you and your family”
She also tagged Kanye’s wife, Kim Kardashian West, into the post and added the #JusticeForGeorgeFloyd hashtag.
Vowing to fully cover the future tuition fees for Gianna, the star donated £1.5 million to a number of other charitable causes. The rapper has also donated to several black-owned businesses in the US following Floyd’s death.
Kanye made a surprise appearance at a Justice for George Floyd rally in Chicago earlier this month.
