“Game of Thrones” Season 8: Finally Announce a Premiere Date

HBO finally dropped a teaser video on Tuesday of the highly anticipated final season of “Game of Thrones” along with a date in April 2019, seems like Winter is not far away.
While it sadly didn’t feature any new footage, it did recap what led its heroes and villains to the impending conclusion.
“Every battle. Every betrayal. Every risk. Every fight. Every sacrifice. Every death, All for the throne”, the teaser stated.
Though no specific date in April is offered in the video, it nevertheless gives fans their first indication of when they can expect the highly-anticipated eighth and final season of the show that has become a global phenomenon.
After seven seasons of the immensely popular fantasy drama, fans of the Westeros saga have been waiting to find out when they’ll discover who will end up on the Iron Throne. When the final season airs in April, it will have been almost two years since the last season concluded in August 2017.
David Benioff & D.B. Weiss, David Nutter and Miguel Sapochnik will be the directors for the new season. Writers for the new season are David Benioff & D.B. Weiss, Bryan Cogman and Dave Hill.
There’s more to look forward from the GoT universe, with a spinoff in development that promises to tell the story of Westeros, but millennia before the Targaryen-Stark-Lannister struggles we know.
