Fall Out Boy at Birmingham Arena

From the moment the band members appeared on stage on rising platforms accompanied by flame throwers we knew it was going to be an impressive show. And they didn’t disappoint. Fall Out Boy pulled out all the stops and went all out to deliver what was an incredible and lively show.
The crowd was going crazy as the band played hit after hit – from the songs on their latest album to all of their classic tunes. Arms were waving in the air, people were jumping along to the beat, mobile phone flashlights lit up the crowd during the more sensitive songs… the atmosphere was vibrant and the crowd was fully involved in the performance.
When it comes to entertainment value, Fall Out Boy were innovative and original. There were sparks flying on the stage, flames erupting from overhead and the stage, smoke machines, confetti canons – all the elements that make a show great were there. At one point, the band was performing above the crowd on raised platforms.
It is fair to say Fall Out Boy were on form last night at the Birmingham Arena, the first stop on the UK leg of their Mania Tour. They got the crowd involved and took the time to connect with the fans. The support acts – Max and Against the Current – also did a brilliant job of connecting with the people present who weren’t necessarily there to see them.
Overall, our experience at the Fall Out Boy gig was amazing and the show was truly a spectacle for both the eyes and the ears.
