Expert warns COVID cases to rise up to 50,000 a day in Britain

Experts have warned that the COVID- cases can spike drastically in the UK to a 50,000 new cases and 200 deaths per day if the ministers do not take necessary actions to protect the public from the pandemic.

The chief medical officer Professor Chris Whitty, and scientist Sir Patrick Vallance spoke about these concerns as the infected rates rose to 6000 a day in Britain. The number of cases has been doubling each week with infected cases amongst all ages. By mid- November if drastic actions are not been implied, the country can witness over 50,000 new COVID-cases and 200 deaths a day.

The British government has continued to mishandle the situation. Making public safety should be their first concern. Strict social distancing regulations need to be carried out and maintained. The government should make sure that an efficient testing system is being set up for everyone. They also need to work to prevent job losses and mass employment during these times of recession.

The health secretary of Shadow, Jonathan Ashworth said that safety for essential workers working in NHS, delivery company’s grocery stores, etc need to be ensured so that they can keep the wheels turning.

Government incompetence and failure to pout adequate testing system resulted in the spike in new cases. He has called out effective Cobra meetings of all regions to be held urgently, discussing on how to carry out effective testing and tracking system.

Decisions on national restrictions are being made by the health minister. Boris Johnson is expected to raise these concerns at his press conference tomorrow.
