Dua Lipa is now a BRIT awards record holder. She has received five nominations this year. This does not just make her the most nominated artist this year but means that she has become the solo female act with most nominations ever.
Dua Lipa is up for British Solo Female Artist, British Artist Video of the Year for “New Rules”, British Breakthrough Act, British Single for “New Rules” and Mastercard British Album of the Year for “Dua Lipa”.
The full list of nominees was announced on Saturday 13 January.
Ed Sheeran is up for four awards this year, closely followed by Rag’n’Bone Man and J Hus with three nominations each.
This year’s BRIT awards ceremony will be taking place at London’s O2 Arena on 21 Febuary. Dua Lipa is one of many artists confirmed to be performing live at the awards.
