Drummer Chris Adler Announces his Departure from Lamb of God

Metal band Lamb of God has announced that longtime and co-founder drummer, Chris Adler has officially left the band, and will be replaced by a recent stand-in, Art Cruz.
In July, Lamb of God declared they were going separate ways with drummer Chris Adler. Though the news is not too shocking as he had been absent from their tours.
In late 2017, Chris was involved in a serious motorcycle accident that shattered his collarbone, right shoulder and part of his right hip and following that he has been undergoing physical therapy and was unable to perform with the band.
Adler wrote on social media late last year that he would only return to the band when he was at 100% and was able to perform at his peak.
Adler broke his silence in a Facebook post on October 24 and returned to the stage drumming for the band Hail.
Adler has issued a press release about his departure where he said that “I did not make the decision to leave my life’s work”.
Chris Adler had been a core member of the band since its commencement as Lamb of God, and its past manifestation as Burn The Priest. He was also one of many founding members of the Richmond, Virginia group, which started below the title Burn the Priest in 1994.
Adler is currently touring with the supergroup Hail!.
