Drake Earns 50 Billion Streams on Spotify

Drake’s history continues! The Canadian rapper Drake has become the first artist ever who has surpassed 50 billion combined streams on Spotify. Puza Snigdha reports.

According to Chart Data, Drake is the first artist who has created the history of generating 50 billion total streams on Spotify. “Drake has now surpassed 50 billion streams on Spotify across all credits. He is the first artist in history to hit this milestone,” Chart Data twitted on 17 Jan.

The chart master has also announced that Drake has earned 35.72 billion streams for his own songs and 14.30 billion streams for being featured artist.

The rapper’s 2018 song ‘God’s Plan’ raised storm on the streaming platform and racked up 1.67 billion streams alone.

Scorpion is sitting atop the Billboard Top 200 for a fifth straight week. “In My Feelings”, is topping the Billboard Hot 100 for the fourth week.

He has the record of top 10 entries and the first male artist to debut three tracks at number one. He has also break the record as the artist with the most Billboard Hot 100 entries of all time.

Currently, he has a total of 12 records on Spotify, including his debut EP “So Far Gone”.

Drake’s sixth studio album titled ‘Certified Lover Boy’, is set to be released this year.
