Drake debuts three songs at Billboard top-100 simultaneously

Drake makes history as he becomes first artist ever to simultaneously debut three songs in the top three positions of the Billboard Hot 100 chart on Monday.

All three new songs from his new EP titled ‘Scary Hours 2’, debuted in the top three slots on the Billboard Hot 100 at the same time— a first in the music industry. The song “What’s Next” reigns at the top of the chart, having debuted at number one.

Furthermore, the album’s two other songs, ‘Wants and Needs’ featuring Lil Baby and ‘Lemon Pepper Freestyle’ with Rick Ross, have debuted at Number Two and Number Three, respectively, making him the first artist in history to achieve this.

On top of that, he has joined The Beatles and Ariana Grande as the only acts in the history of music industry to hold the top three spots on the Billboard Hot 100 in the same week.

What’s more? ‘What’s Next’ is Drake’s 8th No. 1 hit on the Hot 100.  With the 45 Top 10, the Canadian rapper now has the most Number Ones on the Billboard chart. Some of Drake’s previous No. 1 hits include “What’s My Name?” and “Work” featuring Rihanna, “One Dance”, “God’s Plan”, “Nice for What”, “In My Feelings”, and “Toosie Slide” etc.

Drake’s “Scary Hours 2” is the sequel to the 2018 EP which was released on March 5.  This EP will help build up the growing anticipation for his upcoming full album “Certified Lover Boy”. The four-time Grammy winner has been busy working this next studio album.

Drake’s new album was supposed to be released in January 2021, but it got postponed after he injured his knee.

Drake held a private party to celebrate his latest Billboard achievement on Monday night along with his close friends including Quavo and Jas Prince.
