Davido teams up with Lil Baby

American singer-songwriter Davido and Lil Baby teamed up on a new track called “So Crazy”. Puza Snigdha reports.

The song is directed by Nick Papz and Xander and will be featured on Nigerian pop star’s upcoming new album, ‘A Better Time’. The album is due to release on November 13.

Davido commented about working with the Atlanta rapper Lil Baby, and said: “I’ve known Lil Baby for quite some time, and I think it’s important that I point this out: When you’re collaborating on a record So you need to make sure that the relationship outside of music is good. I think that’s when you make the best music.”

The track ‘So Crazy’ follows Davido’s last song ‘FEM’, which was released in September. The song accepted as a protest song since the ongoing protests against police brutality in Nigeria.

A couple of citizens and police officers were killed in protests against the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) intensifying. Rihanna and Beyoncé, among others, have expressed their support for the #EndSARS campaign.

Though the song FEM was not written from a political contest but people made a different meaning of the song as the word “FEM” means “Shut Up!”. in Yoruba.

“I dropped the song a month ago and a bit, and it was crazy to see it grow to be used as a tool. It’s amazing to see,” Davido said to NME.
