Dave Chappelle Will Host SNL’s Post-Election Episode

Dave Chappelle will host the first episode of the program “Saturday Night Live” after the presidential election, on 7th November. Puza Snigdha reports.

The long run comedy show SNL has confirmed the news via social media on Saturday evening but no musical guest has yet been announced yet.
The Strokes hit the stage of “Saturday Night Live” on 31st October and performed ‘The Adults Are Talking’ and ‘Bad Decisions’ from their latest album, ‘The New Abnormal’. Comedian John Mulaney hosted that episode.
Dave Chappelle debuted on SNL in November 2016, the same weekend Donald Trump won that year’s presidential election. Chappelle delivered an 11-minute monologue in that program which made him earn an Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series.
Dave wished Trump and said, “I’m going to give him a chance, and we, the historically disenfranchised, demand that he give us one too”. At the same time, the comedian was not surprise about the election result at all and joked saying, “America’s done it – we’ve actually elected an Internet troll as our president.”
After that, Dave will join the show for the first time this year. Chappelle was very well received when he appeared on SNL in 2016.
