Smack That (A Conversation) is going to be one hell of an intense experience, but one that you simply won’t forget because of it.
This event, supported by the charity DanceEast, addresses the issue of domestic abuse, but in a refreshing and unique way.
It is actually almost like a party, with the inclusion of balloons, popcorn and party games amidst the musical performances, and visitors will feel a sense of safety in the theatre whilst finding out more about domestic abuse.
The conversation aspect is provided by both performers and non-performers, who band together to tell their real life survival stories of domestic abuse.
The accounts are retold in a turbulent and empowering way and because of the nature of the content, support will be offered throughout (and after) the show.
Smack That (A Conversation) will take place on Friday 8 June. It is suitable for individuals over 16 years of age because it addresses themes of an adult nature (sexual violence and domestic abuse).
Get your ticket now, because this promises to be an event like no other.
