Cypress Hill – Elephants On Acid

When the Beatles discovered the joys of various substances and the music of the east everyone took a sharp intake of breath, then mostly loved the result. Now decades later Cypress Hill have had a similar epiphany and once again the music that has resulted is ground breaking.  It’s a brave act that puts out such a startlingly different record at all, let alone after an eight year gap. The LA legends have pulled the task off with aplomb. This album works because they’ve remembered to not cut loose from their roots. Elephants On Acid is still a Cypress Hill record, it’s just that this one has a bit more flavour.
