Commonwealth Games has set its flag in Birmingham this year. This sports saga began on 28 July and is set to continue till 8 August 2022. It’s the Day 4 of the Commonwealth Games. Let’s relish on to the present moment without letting it out of our hands and go on through the previous drawbacks of the Commonwealth.

The biggest scam related to the Commonwealth Games


Back in 2010, the biggest scam was noted worth 70,000 crores in India, New Delhi. The allotted amount was to be spent half on the Indian sportspersons. They were made to shift to shabby apartments instead of those which were centrally allocated to them. The revelation came with the key person in charge of organizing such an important event, Suresh Kalmadi offered 141 crores to the Swiss Timings about the time equipment. It was high by 95 crores. The guilties from this scam were accused of their activities.

• England wins 11 gold, 16 silver, and 7 bronze medals.
• New Zealand wins 10 gold, 5 silver, and 4 bronze medals.
• South Africa lays its hands-on 4 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze medal.
• Canada has 3 gold, 6 silver, and 9 bronze medals.
• India by far has collected 3 gold, 2 silver, and 1 gold medal.
