China Fashion Week: The Lowdown

China Fashion Week kick-started on Sunday and the opening ceremony consisted of the 26th China International Young Fashion Designers Contest at the Beijing Hotel and a show named DOUBLOVE at The Orange in Taikoo Li Sanlitun South.
Yesterday the fashionable affair continued with sets such as EYENSREE KIDS by He Jie and Fashion Union by Shang Kunyuan. Other designers in attendance included Liu Jianghong, Feng Sansan and Martin Zhao, each of whom presented many exciting and innovative pieces to those in attendance.
Going forward the programme is just as promising; tomorrow will see the likes of Liu Wei, Jean Yang and Deng Zhaoping take their designs to the forefront, and Thursday will set into motion many other fashion demos and workshops (including 4cm & 4MC by Cai Fulin and HUANG GANG).
The activities will continue throughout the week and draw to a close on Sunday 1 April with dedicated sets by Qiu Shi San, Xu Xinyin and Shi Zhida. The week brings together a range of ready-to-wear garments, accessories and other new designs and technologies specially developed to impress and inspire.
Established in 1997, China Fashion Week is held twice annually (in March and October); both runs feature a varied mix of fashion shows, professional contests, exhibitions, fashion forums and evaluations by industry specialists. The style is chic and the quality is high, and the first leg of the 2018 showcase has exemplified this thus far. We can only expect to witness more of the same throughout the rest of the week!
