The Carnival of Cultures celebrates cultural diversity in Berlin. Since 1996 this four-day city festival has been held annually with more than 5000 participants through costumes, dance, music and rituals.
The carnival is a great opportunity for members of Berlin’s ethnic groups to make their cultures visible and celebrate cultural diversity. This year it will be celebrated from 18 to 21 May.
On several stages, Berlin’s World Music scene and international bands play concerts. Stilt-walkers, acrobats and magicians invite visitors to test their own abilities.
About 300 market stalls attract visitors with culinary temptations, arts, crafts and much more.
