The Grammy-winner rapper Cardi B is ready to show her silver screen talent by venturing into the film ‘Fast And Furious 9’. Puza Snigdha reports.
The confirmation came from Vin Diesel and Cardi B on Monday that the rapper is set to appear in “Fast & Furious 9.”
Vin Diesel posted an Instagram video with Cardi along with the caption “Day 86 here on the set of ‘Fast 9’. I know I’m exhausted. We all gave every single thing we could for this movie, put it all on the table, put it all out there.”
“I’m tired, but I can’t wait. I ain’t gonna front, I think this is going to be the best one,” said Cardi in the video with Diesel.
Cardi’s role has also been revealed. She is playing Leysa, “a woman with a connection to Dom’s past”. She returns to make her presence felt in Fast 9
The upcoming season is bringing back Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Charlize Theron and Dame Helen Mirren too.
The movie is directed by Justin Lin.
The news came just after Ozuna was confirmed into the cast list.
The movie was originally set to release in 2020, but the global pandemic has pushed it back.
Before this in 2019, Cardi made her big-screen debut alongside Jennifer Lopez and Constance Wu in Hustlers.
