Stars in the Los Angeles area such as Usher and Adam Lambert were targeted in a burglary scam.
Open house events had been used in order to gain information about the celebrities and and target them. As reported by the LA County district attorney’s office, these incidents had mainly taken place between 2016 and 2018.
Prosecutors said, realtor Jason Emil Yaselli and Benjamin Ackerman had both been arrested for money laundering, residential burglary and identity theft. The pair allegedly committed burglaries during open houses in places such as West Hollywood, Brentwood, Hollywood Hills and Beverly Hills.
