BTS to Debute On MTV Unplugged

Global K-pop sensation BTS is set to hit the stage at ‘MTV Unplugged’ later this month which will mark their debut. Puza Snigdha reports.

The American cable channel has confirmed the news the band’s appearance on February 23 at 9pm ET in the US where they will perform stripped-back set for their global fans. The full song list has not been released yet.

They have teased the appearance of the band on the programme via social media posts. “On Feb. 23, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook will bring their collective energy to an update of the storied series straight from Seoul, South Korea.”

‘BTS will bring its own iteration of the iconic Unplugged format to life straight from Seoul, South Korea,’ MTV said in a statement, ‘offering their fans a front-row seat to never-before-seen versions of the group’s most career-defining hits.’

According to SBS MTV , the show will be airing on at 11 a.m. on Feb. 24. in South Korea.

BTS will release an ‘Essential Edition’ of ‘Be’ giving priority to the MTV Unplugged. The updated new version of the album will feature “different components”, but the track list will be the same as the original.

The album will also feature their hit track “Dynamite” which has made them earn the nomination at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards.

To celebrate the release of their album ‘Map of the Soul: 7’, the band dropped by MTV for ‘Fresh Out Live’. BTS also scooped the Best Pop award at the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards.
