British military collaborations have cost some of the worst humanitarian crises

Over 17 nations listed by the government have abused human rights using armed force skills that have been sold by Great Britain. Anika Khan reports.

British armed forces have provided military training to 17 other countries so far. According to Foreign Office, these nations have abused human rights using this training. Anti-arms campaigners have been calling out the UK government to review its military collaborations with foreign nations since 2018.

Saudi Arabia, Egypt, China, Bahrain, Uzbekistan, and Israel are in the list of countries that have received military training from the UK for the past 2 years. Training to handle weapons, carrying commando operations, and warfare has been passed on to these nations.

These nations in return have been using these skills and weapons to carry out wars. Yemen has seen the worst humanitarian crisis in the last few years when Saudi Arabia bombarded and raged war against them.

The campaign against Arms Trade’s representative has revealed the brutal oppressions of these nations with appalling human rights records.

Labour MP Sam Tarry has also spoken up about this matter condemning the UK government to have trained dictators and depots linking them to violence and human rights abuses. He demanded transparent reviews on British military collaborations.
