Breaking Bad Movie Actor Johnny Ortiz Charged With Attempted Murder

Actor Johnny Ortiz, who is best known for the ‘El Camino: A Breaking Bad’ Movie, has been charged with attempted murder case. Puza Snigdha reports.

Johnny Ortiz, the 24 years old, was arrested back in May along with Armando Miguel Navarro, an 18-year-old co-defendant.

They were seen in the court in Los Angeles, California on the 20th of July, facing the felony charges.

According to authorities, Ortiz and Navarro “attempted willful, deliberate, and premeditated attempted murder” against Brian Duke on May 24. Though the motive behind the crime has not been revealed and the crime also not been clear.

The two pleaded not guilty when they visited the court and both are on bail now, $1.1 million bail for Ortiz whiler Navarro is being held on $2 million bail. Ortiz’s family initially set up a fund ‘GoFundMe’ to raise the money to release him on bond.

Ortiz may face 25 years to life in state prison, if he is guilty and the preliminary hearing is scheduled for September 22.

The actor also faces a decade more in additional sentences, according to complaint which was made by prosecutors on May 27. He remained silent when he asked for a comment about the current situation and circumstance.

Johnny Ortiz played as Busboy in El Camino and also starred in the 2015 Disney film McFarland USA.
