Boris to be blamed for a Winter of Hardship

The government under Boris has ensured a great deal of hardship for his people as winter approaches. He has refused to fund the minimum amount for implementing strict lockdowns around Greater Manchester earlier today.

The Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham announced that the government has refused to agree to provide the financial fund to help the lockdown situation. This ca,e after the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson announced that the regions will be going under strict lockdowns from Thursday midnight.

Mayor Burnham and the local authority leaders tried their best to convince fully costed plans to protect the people and their jobs. In a media conference, the mayor stated that the government is prepared to spend billions of dollars to fund failed test-and-trace operations. However, Boris is not ready to spend £65 million to prevent a winter of suffering for the people in his region.

The Tier-3 restrictions imposed in the regions will shut down all businesses, pubs, bars, and expose thousands of people to lose their jobs. Burnham also stated that “further restrictions without the financial support would increase poverty, homelessness, and hardships.”

He opposed the government’s decision to shut down businesses without giving them proper support during the challenging winter which lies ahead.

The local leaders have already reduced their request for financial support from £90m to £65m. Boris later announced that Greater Manchester will receive £22m in implementing lockdown restrictions which are way below the bare minimum required to help the people.

With harsh winter approaching, it seems that the UK under Boris is losing the battle with Covid. The government has put thousands of peoples life’s and jobs at stake.
