Boga Lake

Boga Lake also known as Bagakain Lake, is the most beautiful natural lake in Bangladesh which is located in the hill district Bandarban, Bangladesh. It is approximately 1800 feet above sea level. Behind creation of this lake there are many mythological stories. Geologists believe that the rectangular shaped lake was created by collection of rain water in the crater of a dead volcano almost 2000 years ago.
The lake is bounded on three sides by mountain peaks covered with thick bamboo bushes. It is a closed lake and there is a small spring named Boga chhara, which is 153 metres deep and there is no outlet for draining out water from the lake. The water is crystal clear and under the lake the water there are rocks and boulders all over.
At present, Boga Lake has placed as a heavenly place of beauty and great pleasure for those travelers who love adventure and to face challenging travel. The charm and amazing beauty of the Boga Lake changes with the color change of water, depending on various indicators such as sun light, clouds humidity seasons etc.
