A body of a male stowaway has been found from a garden in South London, Scotland which is suspected that the body has fell from a Kenya Airways flight from Nairobi on Sunday afternoon, according to police and airline officials.
The Metropolitan Police power affirmed on Monday that the body of a unidentified man was found in a private greenhouse in south London’s Clapham territory on Sunday, and it’s accepted he tumbled from a plane.
There have been a few comparative instances of bodies being found in the wake of tumbling from flying machine over London as of late – however most are found a lot nearer to Heathrow.
“We are saddened and shocked by this incident and our thoughts are with everyone affected,” said a Heathrow Airport spokesperson.
“As a priority, we are working with all relevant stakeholders including the Police, Kenyan Airways and Kenyan authorities to establish the facts surrounding this.”
Describing the victim, neighborer said: “One of the reasons his body was so intact was because his body was an ice block.”
An inquest into his death heard that he was believed to have survived freezing temperatures of up to –60C for most of the 12-hour flight. But he was understood to be “dead or nearly dead” by the time he hit the ground.
A bag, water and food were discovered in the plane’s landing-gear compartment after it landed.
