Blink-182 Cancel Mini Tour Because of Travis Barker’s Medical Condition

Blink-182 have canceled their upcoming small string of U.S. tour dates, including the rescheduled Las Vegas residency shows that were postponed due to drummer drammer Travis Barker’s medical conditions.
In a statement posted to Twitter, the band said that doctors supervising Barker, who has been experiencing blood clots in both arms, thought he would be okay to play come the fall but decided not to clear him after a recent check up.
The tour was scheduled to run from Sept. 8 through Sept. 21, beginning in Lemoore, Calif. and ending in Atlantic City, N.J. It was centered around this year’s edition of Riot Fest in Chicago, which Blink was scheduled to headline.
In a statement posted to Twitter, the group confirmed they had to cancel their “fall mini tour”, which was due to begin at Bluestem Amphitheatre in Moorehead, Minnesota on September 12.
“Medical issues have sidelined Travis per doctors’ orders,” they said. “Trav’s medical team anticipated that he would be well enough by fall to tour but after recent checkups they were not able to clear him in time for the scheduled run of date”.
“Unfortunately the risks associated with drumming are still too great,” Barker himself wrote in a portion of the statement. “I am doing everything I need to do so I can get back on the road as soon as possible. I want to thank my fans, family, friends and bandmates for all the love and support”.
