Sushmita Anis has released a new music video on her YouTube Channel, the song is called ‘Ghum Hote Chai’ and is a light-hearted number from her album “Chena Shohor”! Anika Khan reports.
Sushmita Anis specializes in singing modern Bengali songs and Nazrul Sangeet. Born in Bangladesh, she is the niece of the legendary Artist, Firoza Begum. Anis began her music career back in 1998.
“Chena Shohor” is her seventh album which is a collaborated effort of a few renowned musicians from Kolkata and Bangladesh. The album is available for listeners on Spotify, iTunes, Gaana, and a few other more digital platforms.

Suhrif Sufian wrote the lyrics of the song, Joy Sakrer composed it and Taneem Rahman Angshu directed the music video which was shot in various beautiful locations around Kolkata. The video also features Adil Sultan and Kaishambi Chakraborty as models.
Anis said: “We’re all craving human connection nowadays. I hope this song will allow people to forget these tough times for a while, and recall the happier times of connection and love.”
Anis hopes to her listeners a sense of peace in this turbulent time. She believes that the most important thing at this moment is to survive this pandemic with our loved ones
