The song is a narrative story which follows an interesting true story of Anna Sorokin. The women born in Russia, moved to New York City in 2013 where she posed as a billionaire heiress. Sorokin was later convicted for numerous counts of fraud-related crimes in America.

The album also includes tracks like tracks “What A Day,” “Follies Fixture,” “Crowhurst’s Meme” and “Far Out”.

The Devon singer-songwriter has several songs in this album following this true story.

The album Collections From The Whiteout is produced by The National’s Aaron Dessner and includes input from Big Thief, This Is The Kit, Yussef Dayes, and Rob Moose.

Talking about the album Howard said, “‘Sorry Kid’ is roughly about something, but it’s roughly about nothing as well.”

“People are really searching for meanings of things, but perhaps now is a really nice time to just have a moment where we play music that maybe represents a feeling rather than a bespoke meaning.”

Howard is planning to release his new album during a special live-streamed event on April 8. The virtual event will be recorded in London’s Royal Festival Hall.
