Bangabandhu National Recitation & Poem Festival held

On the occasion of the birth centaury of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the golden jubilee of Bangladesh’s independence, ‘Bangabandhu National Recitation Festival’ has been held from 27 January to 31 January. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the five-day event as the chief guest.

 The ‘Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Recitation Medal’ was awarded for the first time in this festival organized by the Federation of Recitation Organizations Bangladesh Recitation Coordinating Council. Golam Mustafa is being awarded this post in 2020, Syed Hasan Imam and Ashraful Alam in 2021 and Jayant Chattopadhyay, Kazi Medina and Bhaswar Bandyopadhyay are being awarded ‘Bangabandhu
Sheikh Mujib National Recitation Medal’ in 2022.

On the same day, ‘Bangabandhu Recitation Memorial’ was given to 50 people including some culture friendly organizations and talented reciter. In the inaugural phase of the festival organized under this slogan, ‘JONMER SHUGONDHEY JAGO SHAMPRITIR SHORE, MUKTIR DAK DEY PITA AJO GHORE GHORE’.

The representatives of district-level recitation organizations are also involved online from the local level. The festival will be held in 64 districts simultaneously with the participation of local organizations.
