The 27th edition of Autosport International, one of Europe’s top motorsport shows, drew in 95,000 fans. The four-day event included the presence of well-known names in the motor industry, new launches and live performances by stunt teams.
The first day saw the launch of the FIA World Rally Championships and people present witnessed the unveiling of four new cars for the 2018 season. Ginetta also launched their challenger for the World Endurance Championship and Les Mans 24 Hours.
Famous faces present at this year’s Autosport International included former F1 World Champion Nigel Mansell, Sébastien Ogier, Darren Turner and Gil de Ferran who was, at one point, Fernando Alonso’s coach in the Indy 500.
Billy Monger was the star of a jaw-dropping show put on by a stunt team, which also included legend Terry Grant, at the Live Action Arena. NASCAR cars also had their moment in the spotlight at the Show.
Ferrari provided the main feature of this year’s Autosport International. In the main hall, a series of Ferrari competition cars, that are made available to exclusive clients through the Corse Clienti programme, were on exhibit for visitors to enjoy.
Autosport International will return to the NEC in Birmingham from 10-13 Jan next year for its 28th annual edition.
