All Points Equal Festival Celebrates Women's Rights

All Points Equal (APE) is a free, empowering event that celebrates 100 years of voting for women, and 90 years of equal voting rights for both sexes.
This forward-thinking and positive project will include many exciting activities and features; you can expect an outdoor cinema running showings of Suffragette and Made in Dagenham (no charge!), live panels, rallies, banner-making, live music, discussions, street food, pop-up bars, art work and exhibitions.
This family-friendly celebration also has plenty of fun-filled things to do for children – this extends to football workshops and theatre with Half Moon. In addition to this there will be aerial circus performances & workshops and yoga sessions with MoreYoga – and all are free to enjoy!
There is no better way to spend your bank holiday Monday, so make sure you get stuck in on 28 May. The fun starts with In The Neighbourhood, the weekday programme of free events in between All Points East’s two huge weekends of music.
It will be held  in Victoria Park as a programme that forms part of APE’s brand new 10 day event, which will take place from 25 May – 3 June. The bank holiday brings a brilliantly cool line-up as part of a 3 day music festival and after the opening weekend there will be a 4 day community centred event. The event comes to a close the weekend after with 3 huge standalone ‘APE Presents…’ headline shows.
Over the course of the festival you can expect to see the likes of Lorde, Justice, Lykke Li, Björk, Her, Catfish and the Bottlemen and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds.
