What > Abdul and The Gang mix chaabi music, gnawa rhythms and funk. Eight musicians will transport you to the desert and far-west to accompany the Arabic songs of Abdul.
The group has concoct a new sound from the West, the Meghreb, chabi melodies gnaws rhythms and confront them with the groove arrangements of funk. From this mix a new genre has created, Gnawa Funk. This first Abdul and The Gang album is a synthesis of Gnawa culture and funk to push the group to define their own musical style.
