Every year India celebrates 15th of August as Independence Day to pay tribute and remember all the freedom fighters who had contributed a lot and fought for the Independence. This day has been declared as holiday throughout the country and this year celebrations will be different and very special too. The people of India including all schools, colleges,and public communities celebrate this day with enthusiasm. Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a wish to make the Independence Day special.
Happiness spreads around the day when the Independence Day approaches. All major government buildings are decorated with lights. The tricolor flag is hoisted on houses and other buildings. The spirit of patriotism is encouraged by organizing special patriotic songs and events through live programs or broadcast on radio stations and television channels. Films about martyr’s stories are shown and stories and reports related to national sentiment are published.
