1. The New Hampshire primary is the first in a series of nationwide party primary elections and the second party contest held in the United States every four years as part of the process of choosing the delegates from the Democratic and Republican nominees for the presidential election.
2. This election gives extraordinary media coverage to the participant. While the most exciting part is become the multiple national debates held in Dartmouth College and Saint Anselm College.
3. New Hampshire primary is a major testing ground for candidates for both the Republican and Democratic nominations. Because of the timing and the vast media attention it can have a great impact and which might make or break a candidate.
4. It maybe sounds weird but in New Hampshire primary election open polls at midnight. While generally polls open at 8 a.m. ET and close. But there are 221 towns in New Hampshire, and they all set their own times.
5. Harry S. Truman was the only incumbent president to lose the New Hampshire primary.
