5 Daytime Activities In The New Normal Day

Now that all our evenings must end at 10pm, we’re going to need some day-time activities to keep us entertained. So, we’ve compiled a list of activities you can do come rain or shine.

  1. Picnic – sounds like an obvious one, but a really good day out is a fun picnic with your loved ones (make sure it’s no more than six people though).

Get a hamper and fill it with all your favourite treats for some al-fresco dining.

On a rainy day, drive down to your favourite scenic spot, put the back seats of the car down, bring some blankets and have a car picnic. Why not download a movie before you go and watch it in the comfort of your car surrounded by a beautiful view, and yummy food.

  1. Kayaking – you can purchase kayaks on Amazon, and they’ll provide you with fun even after COVID has passed (if it ever does!)

Find your nearest lake and have a lazy ride down, emersed in nature.

  1. Bowling – Ten-pin bowling is back open and who doesn’t love a good bowling alley? It makes a great day-time activity with family, and if you want to make it a bit boozy; book an evening session, and go with friends.
  2. Mini-Golf – Keeping with the sports theme, mini golf is a great activity for all ages.

Both indoor, and outdoor mini golf offer the perfect entertainment. Try Junkyard golf for a new experience of mini golf. https://www.junkyardgolfclub.co.uk

If you want to practice your real golfing techniques, a driving range is another fun activity. It’s usually under shelter too so you can still have something to do on rainy days.

  1. Beach day – We may be heading into Autumn now, but crisp beach walks are still just as lovely as a hot summer’s day. A great way to keep healthy, and have some fresh air too.
