Mariah Carey

The American singer Mariah Carey’s song ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ which was released 25 years ago, finally hit the top of the US charts.

The song released in 1994 was as an EP which was not even allowed to compete in Billboard’s Hot 100 because it was not commercially available as a single. But the song used in many big films and television shows.

The singer shared her happiness by throwing a post on Twitter, “We did it” with a string of emojis to convey happy tears.

“It’s something my die-hard fans think about, and people that are really close to me are talking to me about it literally all year. But I don’t need something else to validate the existence of this song. I used to pick it apart whenever I listened to it, but at this point, I feel like I’m finally able to enjoy it. I just truly love the holidays – I know it’s corny, and I don’t care.”

‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ has become the most popular tune at this time of year on both sides of the Atlantic, and also currently the UK’s most-streamed song on Spotify.

The Christmas classic regularly appears in the upper echelons of ‘best festive songs’ countdowns.

The song has the most cherished, blissful and vocally impressive elements which were co-written and performed by herself.

Though the singer has to face many obstacles to reaching that position but finally she is celebrating her victory.
