Hugh Grant Knocking on Doors to Persuade British against Brexit

The star Hugh Grant has taken to London streets going door to door with MPs to campaign against Brexit, reminding fans of his character’s actions in popular Christmas film ‘Love Actually’.

In 2003, Grant played the role of the British PM knocking on doors to find his love interest Natalie in the lead up to Christmas after winning a general election in the film.

After 16 years, the 59-year-old star has been campaigning against Brexit in the lead up to the UK’s first December election since 1923.

“The real reason I’m here is, like so many of the population now, poll after poll has shown Britain has changed its mind,” explained Grant as he went on the campaign trail with Lib Dem Luciana Berger.

People were very excited after opening their front doors to find the star outside.

“He [Grant] is so amazing, he’s in Paddington, he’s in Two Weeks, it’s like, oh my God, someone famous is outside my window — it was so awesome,” said resident Lulu.

She added: “It was sick, I don’t really know Hugh Grant but I’m obviously a big Lib Dem supporter so I think it was cool chatting to Luciana Berger.”

Grant was even asked “as a former prime minister” how he would deal with the US president, in another reference to his ‘Love Actually’ character.

Grant replied it would be difficult with a “complete moron as a president.”
