Who : Meet like-minded people and learn from top-notch tutors

Finding ease in your body can unlock creativity and confidence, so a visit to Hawkwood a course in wellbeing, Alexander Technique, yoga or tai chi could be just the ticket. If the troubles of the environment concern you, a week of spiritual ecology will help you address nature degradation and climate issues from an imaginative viewpoint. Hawkwood is set in naturally stunning Cotswold landscape with a Grade II country house, views over the Severn Vale, a walled garden, natural spring, wild woodland, flowers, trees and farmland. The autumn programme invites you to try yoga philosophy, sacred literature from other traditions and unhurried conversations with like-minded people. For the practically minded there are craft courses in making a singing bowl, blacksmithing, soapmaking, willow weaving, Japanese embroidery, block printing, painting and life drawing, as well as a rare opportunity to paint Russian icons with authentic materials and traditional techniques.

“ Hawkwood is the most lovely place to be. Calm, welcoming and nurturing. The tutors are the best in their field – a privilege to work with them. A beautiful environment to do healing and transformative work,” says Maggie, attendee at a Hawkwood retreat.
