The World Taekwondo Grand Slam Champions Series is set to take place in Chinese city Wuxi from 18 – 20 December, bringing an end to the 2019 season. Action at the Wuxi Taihu International Expo Centre is due to run through to Friday (December 20), with competition in each of the four male and four female Olympic weight categories. Among the athletes set to compete is the Philippines’ Pauline Lopez, the women’s under-57 kilograms gold medalist at her home Southeast Asian Games earlier this month. Lopez already has one eye on next year’s Asian Qualification Tournament for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. That event, scheduled for April 10 and 11, will also be hosted by Wuxi.
