The son of Ryan O’Neal, an American actor & former boxer and the late Farrah Fawcett, has been arrested and charged with attempted murder after he stabbed two people during a string of attacks in Los Angeles in May.
This 33-years-old actor who was been behind bars since last month when he was arrested for an alleged robbery in Eleven convenience store and for random attacking on people, now facing up to 22 years in state prison, Los Angeles prosecutors said.
A reports that O’Neal, who’s struggled with drug addiction, is charged with punching or stabbing five men over several days last month in the Venice Beach and Palms neighborhoods.
After O’Neal was arrested near the 7-Eleven last month, detectives discovered he matched the description and security footage of a red-headed male with distinct facial tattoos, unprovoked attacks on five men starting May 2.
According to a press release Police filed one count of attempted murder, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, one count of criminal threats, one count of brandishing a knife and one count of battery. Redmond remains in the custody of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
“They all seem to be random. It appears, though, based on what we know now, that it just started as an argument between unknown persons and quickly escalated with the violent acts,” LAPD Sgt. Scotty Steven told to a reporter.
Redmond’s father, Ryan O’Neal, was nominated for an Oscar for the 1970 movie ‘Love Story’ and recently had a recurring role in the TV series ‘Bones’ while His mother, Farrah Fawcett was an actor, model and artist who found fame in the 1970s starring in the TV series ‘Charlie’s Angels’.
