Originally one half of hip hop duo Clipse, Pusha T has courted a significant amount of controversy both during his early years and later as a solo artist. A long running feud with Lil’ Wayne has kept him in the news when his career could best be described as dormant. Emerging from all the negativity is an artist that, even his detractors will have to admit, is strong and focussed. King Push doesn’t really do anything new in terms of music. What it does do is resharpen the claws of the now old and bloated sound of hip hop. This record has real edge and genuine punch.
