Trump attacks Clinton for exploiting ‘Woman Card’

Not a day goes by where Donald Trump doesn’t cause controversy, and today is no different. Speaking at the Trump Tower in New York, the presidential candidate witheringly argued how:

“I think the only card she [Clinton] has is the woman’s card. She’s got nothing else going. And frankly, if Hillary Clinton were a man, I don’t think she’d get 5% of the vote. The only thing she’s got going is the woman’s card, and the beautiful thing is women don’t like her, OK?”

Not one to back down from confrontation, Clinton stood her ground, defending her proposed policies which may focus upon the rights of women, fighting how “if fighting for women’s health care and paid family leave and equal pay is playing the woman card, then deal me in.”

Her statement was greeted with seas of cheers, unsurprising seeing as Trump hasn’t had the best track record when dealing with issues such as abortion for women. He infamously argued how women who opt for a termination should be punished, clearly rejecting any option of pro choice. So when he commented how he’ll “do far more for women than Hillary Clinton will ever do”, it most definitely was met with opposition.

Now, Trump may have a chance of beating Clinton, if it weren’t for his being such a misogynist, however, members of his own party, Mary Pat Christie, seemingly gave Trump an eye-roll in regards to his comments on Clinton. Her reaction went viral on social media, much to Trump opposers delight.

Whilst the presidential election is a few months away, the fight for victory is most definitely up and running.
